Surf conditions, tides, swell and suitability change. Choose locations appropriate to your ability and current conditions, and ask local professionals when unsure. Pins are indicative surf areas, not entry points; filters are discovery guidance, not safety ratings.

A little local respect goes a long way.

Wait your turn, never drop in, give other surfers space and keep access paths clear. Take your litter home. Beginners should choose their session with an instructor; rocky points require experience.

Questions from the coast

Practical answers based on MoroccanSurf’s published offers and the regional tourism guide. Confirm your arrangements with the local team for your travel dates.

TaghazoutBooking your first surf session

Does a surf lesson include equipment for the whole day?

MoroccanSurf’s Taghazout lesson includes two hours of coaching, a surfboard and a wetsuit. The equipment remains available for the rest of that day. Extra practice is separate from the coached lesson; ask your coach which area suits your level before continuing.

Where do I meet the team?

The lesson listing gives Taghazout as the usual meeting location and around 11:00 as the standard start. Confirm the exact meeting point and time with the team for your booking. The beach and timing can change with conditions.

Should I book a lesson or surf guiding?

Choose a lesson if you need instruction. MoroccanSurf’s guiding day is intended for confident intermediate and experienced surfers who can surf independently. Guiding helps with break selection and local orientation; it does not include the same service as a lesson.

TamraghtCheck the location before choosing your stay

Does staying in Tamraght mean I can walk to every surf spot?

Check the property’s exact location and the route to your meeting point. Tamraght is a base for the surrounding surf coast, but an accommodation name alone does not establish walking time, access or included transport. Ask for the meeting pin before planning your day.

Can I choose a beginner beach before I arrive?

Use the map to learn the names around Tamraght, including Crocro and Devil’s Rock. Choose the lesson beach with the coach for your actual session, rather than treating a map category as a permanent statement of suitability.

Does a Taghazout package include pickup from Tamraght?

Check the exact product. The private villa package lists airport arrival and departure transfers, while the standalone lesson says to contact the team for transport help. Confirm your accommodation pickup arrangements in writing.

ImsouaneWhat the day trip includes

What is included in MoroccanSurf’s Imsouane day trip?

The current Imsouane day trip listing includes return transport from Taghazout, a surfboard, a wetsuit and a Moroccan lunch. Confirm departure time, meeting point, dietary needs and the planned return with the team before the trip.

Is a coached lesson included?

The standalone day trip listing names transport, equipment and lunch, but does not explicitly include a coached lesson. Ask the team before booking if you need instruction. The six night retreat separately lists four coached lessons; those inclusions should not be assumed to apply to the standalone day trip.

Are Imsouane Bay and Cathédrale the same surf area?

They are distinct surf areas. The regional tourism guide describes the Bay as a longboarding and surf school area and Cathédrale as more exposed to swell and wind. That distinction helps you orient yourself; it does not establish the conditions or suitability on your travel date.
